Happy New Year 2020!- End of Decade update[Update #4]
As 2020 begins, we take a look back at 2019 and further. The CBPUC project has actually existed in some form since 2013 and over the years, has continually sought to empower the displaced communities on the Thai-Burmese border through 2 year teaching training programmes which teach 4 key skills ranging from teaching skills (primary school level), English skills, computer skills, and community management.
These programmes have imbued talented individuals from within the displaced community with right vocational skills to feedback and support others in their community. As the programme has grown with the passion of our volunteers and teachers, with official funding and donations, the school itself has seen new life with many new students coming in and graduating, and here we take a look at the past decade to find vision for the future.
A look back at the last decade...

We are so proud of our CBPUC graduates where many have returned to their home villages to put their new skills to use.
Many of them have started teaching at primary schools in their communities, including at refugee camps whilst some have furthered their studies in taking medic courses, or have gone on to work with NGOs.
A look at what our graduates have been doing
As we look forward, we want to thank all of you for your support. But also, all of our students who have grown with us as well as all our volunteers over the years who have shown nothing but compassion in their support and care.
We hope and pray that we can continue with strength in this new decade.

Dormitory finished![Update #3]
The CBPUC school now has a complete dormitory allowing those students enrolled on programmes to live nearby. These new living quarters will hopefully remove the worry of commuting or finding private accommodation, and allow all students to focus on their studies.
Dormitory project [Update #2]
On 18th January 2019, the Japanese embassy in Thailand approved funding of 3,325,000 Thai Baht to upgrade the living facilities at the CBPUC school.
Building work is already underway to create both a male and female dormitory as part of the expanding CBPUC school. These living quarters will allow those who live further away from the CBPUC school to be resident nearby and attend their classes without having to worry about a long and tiring commute. This will help with both retention rates and widening participation.
The dormitory is estimated to be finished by Dec 2019. Please keep checking back for progress updates
